About
The concept for the Contour Indoor Rack system came about in 2002 while living in apartment in Santa Monica, California. After a long mountain bike ride, David Kerman would lean his mountain bike up against the wall, leaving dirt on the floor and a mark on his wall. No matter how hard he tried, his bike would always track dirt inside. Frustrated, David inquired about drilling a hook into the wall to hang his mountain bike. His request was denied. It was then when he imagined an indoor bike rack shaped like an "L". With the help of his engineer brother-in-law, they were able to assemble a device that held a bike off the ground and away from the walls- it even saved space.
David Kerman is a motion designer for television and film who appreciates great design as well as great sports gear. He's a surfer, a mountain biker, and occasional a golfer who loves design. Whether it's beautiful typography or the clean lines of an Al Merrick Channel Islands surfboard, it's his passion. It is that kind of passion that he poured into his idea and business.
David has been using his product for about 8 years and patiently developed it into something that he believes would make people's lives easier. The product is made for people like him, who need a scalable storage device to organize, manage, and display his sports gear in an aesthetically pleasing way.
He's been using his for years and loves it. Now, you can own one too.
